HTML5 & TSplus 9.80: Take Your Design to Another Level
With the new HTML5 TSplus 9.80 web portal, one of the key aspects is the level of customization that it supports. One of the basic things that everyone wants is to change the look and feel of the portal based on their requirements.
In an update done yesterday, we've again redesigned our user interface with a fresh new look to improve navigation and adapt your working environment to your company's graphic lines. Let us look in detail at what is new in this update:
Easy-to-use Navigation
The navigation system is simple and intuitive. It focuses on things that users do most often like. The clipboard handling has been enhanced to grant a great user experience on any device, including the improvement of the resize capability and a better gesture handler on tablets.
Finding transfered Files
Uploading files to TSplus HTML5 client just got easier. You were able in previous releases to upload files by just dragging and dropping them from your desktop on to the desired folders in the "Personal Folders" section. You can also drag multiple files at once. There are no plugins needed for this feature to work, as it uses HTML5 and so is working fine in any browser that supports HTML5. TSplus 9.80 is willing to satisfy a greater number of customers; thus, it makes the file transfer process more flexible, providing more options to easily find and attach the documents from your Desktop:
- First, TSplus 9.80 now supports very long file names in file transfer.
- The Web Portal Preferences tile now offers the possibility for the administrator to set 2 different folders on the server. On one hand, the Upload folder to indicate from which Folder the user will select the files to upload. On the other hand, the Download folder, to tell where, on the server, the downloaded files will be stored.
Background customization:
The administrator can now change the color background AND add a logo or a background image in Session opening preference tile.
Customization can be done very easily with your own code directly into a "custom.css" file and "custom.js" file that feature in the Clients web folder, where styles defined override the default styles (defined in \Content\css\main.css) of the TSplus Web Application Portal.
This is a nice new feature specially when using HTML5 with the Floating Panel. The Floating Panel, a mini drop-down list of applications, is one of the highly appreciated display modes by TSplus customers.
It is directly embedded to the local Desktop and acts as a floating window, displaying only the applications assigned by the Administrator, or the user's desktop folder content, or a specific folder. Thus, by editing the users menu, the Administrator can add or suppress applications and functionalities.
